AN UPDATE... finally!

Well I know I haven't written in here much lately. Been super busy. I'm in a happier mood than before, so I guess that's good. Ryan is still an ass and I have to deal with it daily. But life will go on. I'm ready for Christmas. Well not finished getting gifts but I do wish it was here already. Sunday is the children's christmas play at church and both the kids have parts in it. Joshua will be the innkeeper and Sarah will be an angel (interested to see if she will actually stay on stage). I'm excited, I love watching children perform especially my own. We are going out to lunch after church, with a group from church. I do have to say that my life is 100x's better than it was last year at this time. Sunday morning (after no sleep at all), I realized that it had been exactly a year since Ryan told me he was in love with her. So I've been thinking about what all has happened over the last year and I have had my ups and I certainly had my downs, but God has seen me through them all and I am much better off. I have never been so blessed with friends, work environment, personal life, family. I just can't complain. Thank you to those who have been there for me, you know who you are and I love you, even you JP!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Some People...

So I went out Saturday night and had a really great time. Lack of sleep caught up with me on Sunday afternoon, but no nap for me, like some. So I get a call last night from a person who got pissed off cause I wasn't at home when he called Saturday night (this is not my ex-husband). Then he starts asking all these questions about who I was with and what I was doing. Let's just say I got a little mad. No one has the right to ask me any questions about what I do and who I do it with. Come on I'm 29 years old, I haven't lived with my parents since I was 20, I don't have to answer to anyone. Now this person was a wonderful person who I love very dearly (friend), but that doesn't give him the right to inquire about my personal life like that. If he wanted to be pat of my life like that he would need to be in Lynchburg, But i can guarantee he won't ever! People need to back off and let me be ME! I love the way some people automaticlly assume they have rights they don't! Live your life and let me live mine. And don't rain on my parade, just because all your giant balloons popped!

Eggs & Ham

Eggs and Ham: A days work for the chicken; a lifetime commitment for the pig!

Well it's already November 2nd and That means only 55 more days till Christmas. I am totally loving the beauty of fall. The leaves are gorgeous. I love living in Lynchburg where I can see all the mountains and watch them change.

Ok, Halloween was pretty cool. We started celebrating on Sat with a carnival and trunk-or-treating at a local church. Then on Sunday at another church, Monday we went to Advante Nursing home and went trick or treating at the patients rooms. Joshua and Sarah had a great weekend. The sperm-donor had them on Halloween night. Joshua told me later that his daddy wouldn't let him have any fun and he just wanted to be with me at Trunk-or-Treat at the church. I felt so bad for him. But I know he had a little fun. I had a great costume with a wig. The girls got a kick out of it. Carman and I are going shopping this weekend for our costumes for next year. They have to be awesome. If we are having the party, we have to look the best.

I have been a little tired. Daylight savings time isn't always fun. Well the day you get to sleep an hour late is pretty cool. We did get to church a little early.

I heard this in a song and I think we all should remember: 'The Lord gives us mountains so we could learn how to climb'

Well my weekend was interesting! Ryan was of course supposed to have the kids but called me Fri afternoon and said they didn't want to stay with him. So I told him to bring them back around 9pm. This is the second time they have been with him and said they wanted to come home. So my night out was kinda over before it began. But that was ok because I was able to be with my two most favorite people. Sat morning I took the kids to Chestnut Hill Baptist Church for their fall festival. They had games, face painting, a bouncy thing, food, and crafts for the kids. I actually won a 13' TV. I thought it was pretty cool. After that we went to mom's and Joshua and I played a little baseball. He hit his first ball and I was privileged enough to be the one who pitched it to him. I'll never forget the look on his face when he hit the ball. I will say I teared up. Later we went to the Farm for the hayride and dinner. We rode with Carman. It was such a blessing. I am so happy she is my friend. We had a great time. The kids loved it. Joshua loved making s'mores around the campfire. And of course Sunday is always cool. I had a pretty awesome weekend.
I am so thankful for my friends. And it's funny, when I was married to Ryan I had none of them. Well I did, but he made sure I couldn't hang out with them. God knew how much I was needing them and He has provided for me. My friends from church, work and friends I thought were long gone have proven I am not worthy of them, but I sure am thankful that each of them are in my life.

Thank You

A thank you is not enough. I would like to say thanks to those three wonderful guys, who stood outside in the rain and changed my flat tire. THANK YOU! I am so blessed to have a job with three of the greatest people. I have thanked God for my job daily since I got hired, but tonight I'll thank Him for the three of you. The funny thing is that if this had happened when I was still married, he would still be out there trying to get the flat tire off, and y'all did it in minutes. You are all awesome. Chad, Eric and Marion You Rock! Tomorrow it's candy for everyone except Eric he gets Diet Pepsi.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! I am 29 as of 12:47 am! WOW. I never thought I'd be this old. Especially since the doctors told me in High school that I might live five more years. I guess I beat that. LOL! God has blessed me more than I'll ever know. I have a great family, two fantastic kids, wonderful friends and an interesting work enviroment, which I love. I guess getting older isn't all that bad.

God knows I didn't get it with my last one!

You Go For Brains!

You want a guy with a big... brain.
And of course it would be nice if he were a total hottie, but you're not counting on it.
What's on the inside is what counts for you. (Besides, you can always change the outside later!)
